Gathering of Poets
Our second annual Gathering of Poets will take place Saturday, April 7, at the Community Arts Café, Fourth & Spruce in downtown Winston-Salem.
This day-long workshop series features master classes by former North Carolina Poet Laureate Fred Chappell, current North Carolina Poet Laureate Cathy Smith Bowers, and award-winning poets Betty Adcock, Joseph Bathanti, Lavonne J. Adams, and Richard Krawiec.
Participants are limited to 53 poets. Choose four workshops to attend (two morning and two afternoon) from the six offered. We’ll end the day with a faculty reading, and after dinner, participants are invited to return for an open mic poetry reading exclusively for Gathering of Poets attendees. 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., April 7.
Fee is $125 and includes continental breakfast and buffet lunch.
